«Good Feeling» is one of the many “lockdown-projects” we’ve been working on. To solve the contradiction of releasing a tune so titled in such a hard time all over the world, we have to add a few words.
«Good Feeling» is not the current mood, “good” is not the way anyone feels in the present situation: it is a hope. To feel good is a need that the most part of the global population has right now – and has had for months –, and we imagined how good it will feel to have some kind of peace of mind back («when Jah Jah come on down on Earth» as Pidduck would say). In the meantime, among the few things that still make us feel good, music does the best job. Working on new music, or just listening to it, heals our souls: this can be considered the true meaning of «Good Feeling». We worked hard to make this release worth its meaning: we know you’ll let us know.
The work with Pidduck can be labeled as a local collaboration: he’s a tough MC based in our region. We’ve known him in many sessions, in some of which he sang on Blue Shepherd Sound System too: friendship is the most beautiful gift that comes from sound system culture.
Enough with words, it’s time to let music speak for itself.
